Welcome to the website of the Winnipeg Food Policy Working Group. We are an ad hoc committee of Winnipeggers who believe that food security is an important issue for the City of Winnipeg to address. We believe that the most important action our city could take to support food security is to establish a food policy council, which would advise and assist the city on an ongoing basis.
We need your support!
We need to be able to tell the public, the media, and the government that this initiative has the support of a broad cross-section of Winnipeg citizens and organizations.
We are not asking for letters of support. We are simply asking you to respond to indicate if you and/or your organization support in principle our call for a Winnipeg Food Policy Council. Please also indicate a contact person along with contact details (if someone other than yourself) so that we can provide updates on the status of our work.
