Presentation for City Centre Community Committee

The Winnipeg Food Policy Working Group made its first presentation to city council last week, addressing the three city councillors who are members of the City Centre Community Committee. This is the first of five presentations to community committees that the Working Group plans to make. Stefan Epp presented background information on food policy councils and why one would be good for Winnipeg and Audrey Logan provided insights and concerns based on her work in the West Broadway neighbourhood. The councillors responded positively. The rest of the community committee meetings will be held in January. See Upcoming Events for more information.
